Purchase Policy

Building custom furniture is a partnership. I want you to feel confident in your investment and clear on how I work. Because every piece I create is made to order specifically for you, the following guidelines apply to all projects.

The Lifetime Guarantee

Most manufacturers provide limited warranties; I stand behind your purchase with a lifetime guarantee. I confidently assure the joinery of my wood furniture for the lifetime of the original owner. Should the joinery ever fail due to my craftsmanship, I will promptly repair or replace it at my discretion. If you believe your furniture failure is covered under my lifetime guarantee, please contact me to discuss how to make it right.

This guarantee does not cover damage from misuse, improper installation, or natural wood movement caused by extreme environmental changes (like humidity or temperature) after it enters your home.

Wood is a living material that changes with time. Change occurs with humidity, storage, or machining, So its appearance and performance are not guaranteed.

starting a project

Before any work begins, you will get an itemized invoice , shop drawings, project description and a breakdown of costs. This ensures we are aligned on the scope of work from the start, and have measurements double-checked and documented.

  • Lead times: Delivery dates are my best estimate for when a piece will leave my workshop. They can change based on the complexity of the build, shop conditions, weather, and material sourcing.
  • Final Sale: Because each piece is one-of-a-kind and built to your specifications, all sales are final. I do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has begun.

Payment Terms

  • Cash or Check: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to start the project. The remaining 50% balance is due upon delivery.
  • Credit/Debit Card & Afterpay: The total balance is due in full at the start of the project.

I offer several ways to pay for your convenience:

  • Cash or Check: Accepted for in-person transactions (no additional fees).
  • Credit/Debit Cards: Available via online invoice. A small 4% processing fee applies.
  • Afterpay: Available upon request via online invoice. An additional 7% processing fee applies. Please be aware of Afterpay’s terms and conditions.

If you prefer to pay online via card or Afterpay, please let me know in advance, so I can send the appropriate online link to you.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Local (Twin Cities): I personally offer “white glove” delivery within 120 miles of the Twin Cities.
  • Long Distance: For deliveries beyond 120 miles, I’m happy to arrange shipping. I’ll provide an estimate for your approval before we start. Please note that all shipping costs are non-refundable.

If Something Goes Wrong

I want you to love your new furniture. If an item arrives damaged or defective, I will make it right..

  1. Contact me within 5 business days of delivery.
  2. Once we’ve discussed the issue and agreed on a repair, I’ll provide instructions for getting the piece back to my shop.
  3. Shipping: While I cover the repair itself, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Once the repair begins, I’ll provide an estimated return date.

Understanding Natural Wood

  • Natural variations in grain, knots, and color.
  • Markings unique to reclaimed timber.
  • Seasonal movement (small cracks or slight warping) caused by the climate in your home.
