Knolling trays

Find your focus

My hardwood knolling trays are more than just accessories or home decor.

By arranging items with intention (aka knolling), these trays help you naturally group related objects into an aesthetically pleasing whole, fostering a sense of tranquility and creativity.

Each tray has unique dimensions, surface and thicknesses. Sourced from hardwood cutoffs in the Twin Cities. The wood trays are precisely trimmed, edges are routed, and finished with natural shellac and wax for a great feel.

How to use knolling trays?

  1. Feeling overwhelmed? Check your space. Clutter can block my creativity. While working, I often juggle ideas and tasks, but sometimes the mess hinders me. That’s when I take a moment to pause.
  2. Prepare your surface by placing the items you are using nearby and putting everything else away. Knolling helps you keep your tools accessible and visible.
  3. Arrange the knolling trays at 90 degrees to each other, but feel free to creatively break the grid. You can use any flat surface as a tray, like felt mats or inexpensive cutting boards.
  4. Arrange your items on the trays. Group similar items or keep task-related items together.

Here is what makes my knolling trays unique

Hardwood cutoffs: Each tray is a unique dimension and thickness as it is made locally sourced hardwood which would otherwise be thrown out.

Locally sources: As much as possible, all trays are locally sourced here in the Twin Cities.

Handmade: These are simple slabs of wood that are precisely trimmed to the size and thickness best suited to the material. The edges are routed and surfaces sanded by hand.

Natural: Each pieces is finished with an all natural shellac and buffed with hard wax to a light sheen.
